Toy Aisle Trolls > Star Sores

Toy Aisle Trolls is a feature highlighting acts of vandalism to in-store toy items. If you find a ruined package, a stolen figure, a swapped-out figure, or any other such acts, take a photo (cell phone photos are fine if they’re not blurry) and email them to poe AT poeghostal.com. Also, please note: I’m deliberately being over-the-top with my condemnation of these people.

Today’s Toy Aisle Trolls comes courtesy of Poester Zach, who came across these examples of holiday season horribleness at a Walmart (of course) in Roswell, Georgia. (more…)

Joes for Tots > More Cool Peeps

Joes for Tots entries are still coming in, but if you haven’t donated yet there is still plenty of time to help out. While many places are closed for actual toy donations, you can still donate even a small amount online. Aside from helping someone out and possibly getting a nice bonus, remember Poe offered up a sweet unmasked Dark Knight figure as well. Remember, you have until the 31st of December to submit your entry!

Anyway, I thought I’d share a few more of the photo entries I’ve received. This time the theme is pulling some of the entries that qualify as, “The Ladies of Joes For Tots.”

Vote for the Poester Award 2009!

I’m going to be releasing my second annual award picks early next month. To make everything fair, I’ve decided to make all my selections only from the figures I’ve reviewed this year.

But why should I have all the fun? I’m also going to offer you guys a chance to pick your own favorite figure of the year: the Poester Award. Voting goes from now to midnight on December 31. Each name is a direct link to my review (let me know if I messed any of ’em up). (more…)

MOTUC Battle Cat: too small?

Poester Emerald has suggested that MOTUC Battle Cat may be smaller, in relation to He-Man, than the prototype. The basis for this is this brief appearance from Attack of the Show.

Thanks to He-Man.org member Tallstar for the video.

I’ll confess, I can’t really tell from this video either way, but it seems OK to me. Your thoughts?

The Horde Poster: From Adam to Whiplash

Welcome to the third in my four-part exhaustive analysis of the Masters of the Universe promotional posters from the 1980s. This one is the Horde Poster, which actually probably have come second–after the Grayskull poster but before the Eternia poster. I’m not certain because I can’t find his signature, but I assume this one was, like the others, painted by William George.
