To put something in bold:

<strong>bolded text</strong>

To put something in italics:

<em>italicized text</em>

To create a bullet list:

<ul> (creates the list)
<li>First item
<li>Second item
</ul> (ends the list)

You can create an ordered list by using <ol> instead of <ul>
