PGPoA T-shirts now available!

This is a bit of an experiment. I’ve created a small Printfection store of PPGoA-themed T-shirts, including the above “Mad Money King” shirt. There are also two other designs – 339/1 and the toy-inspired “Action Poe” image. Available in both regular and women’s style.

The shirts are a bit more expensive than I’d like, due to the colors and front-and-back images. If people think they’re prohibitively expensive I can look into ways to reduce the price, maybe by going grayscale with some of the images or putting the website URL on the front instead of the back.

Sightings > Santa Claus Pirate Ship

“Ho ho ho and a bottle of peppermint schnapps!”

There are few things I love more than Santa Claus toys (especially ones that aren’t based on any specific property). So I’m pretty excited about this Minimates Santa Claus Pirate Ship from Diamond Select Toys. Due in November, it’s available for pre-order at BBTS for a mere $12.99. Here’s what DST has to say about it:

Christmas is coming, but it’s not coming in a sleigh pulled by eight reindeer. No, this year Santa Claus is on a boat! DST’s 2-inch Minimates mini-figure of ol’ Saint Nick comes with his festively painted pirate ship, which is packed with opening hatches, extending planks and removable sails (not shown). It’s the perfect stocking stuffer for the Minimates fan in your life, or for anyone who likes boats and Christmas.

Poe’s Review > Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012, Playmates)

As I mentioned in my review of the Classic Collection Leonardo, I’ve covered my history with the Turtles before here and here. To my surprise I was left a bit underwhelmed by Classic Collection, but the photos of the basic line for 2012 (based on the new cartoon) seemed intriguing enough to merit picking up at least one figure.

I’m interested to watch the show, which debuts on Nickelodeon on September 29. The animation and style seems like a cross between Cars and Teen Titans. The humor seems great. (more…)

135%. Ram Man is saved, and Geldor is the fan’s choice winner, which I’m happy about because I voted for him.

Please begin celebrating/cynical eye-rolling……..nnn-now.

Club Infinite Earths confirmed for 2013

While MOTUC fans await in agony for word on whether the 2013 Club Eternia went through (I’m sure it did), Club Infinite Earth fans already have confirmation.

I’ll say it: I’m surprised. I was certain CIE was dead in the water. I was wrong. It appears there was a huge surge over the last few days.

Sightings > A new He-Man statue in the works?

Pop Culture Shock Collectibles, whose founder is former SOTA head man and Face Off contestant Jerry Macaluso, has posted the above pic on their Facebook page, soliciting fan response as to which of the above they would most like to see as a statue.

It’s important to note the phrasing: “What would be your favorite style if Masters Of The Universe were done as 1:4 scale statues? Choose A, B, C or D” (my italics) So this may not be a done deal (I think it probably is, though).

Personally, my selection would be A. We’ve had a few semi-realistic statues from the Four Horsemen since the Millennium MOTU era, and I’m more likely to buy a purely Filmation He-Man (especially since it appears we won’t be getting one in MOTUC). But it seems to me that D seems to be winning. Anyway, go and cast your vote!
