Whiplashâ„¢ Bio
Real Name: Torrant Krazutâ„¢
Following their father’s untimely death, Torrant grew up bitter under the rule of his older brother Ceratus™. After years of brooding in Sub-Ternia™, he struck a deal with a surface dweller named Keldor™ and helped lead his forces in a raid against Randor’s army during the Great Unrest. Although Keldor’s plan failed, Torrant was banished from Sub-Ternia™ for betraying his people. He was taken in by his former employer and quickly rose up through the ranks, staying with Keldor™ even after his transformation into Skeletor®, serving as his chief brute squad enforcer. His thick hide and stubborn intellect have made him more than a match for the Masters of the Universe®, often leaving only He-Man® to defeat him. Whiplash™ uses his thrashing tail for doom and destruction.

I don’t have a lot to say about this one. Whiplash has a pretty straightforward tale (pun intended) here, reminiscent of the 200X “Icons of Evil” comics, but there’s nothing about it that I find troubling.
Seriously, while I love Whiplash, I don’t have any strong feelings about his bio. I even like the fact that it suggests Whiplash is almost a match for He-Man.
I guess the only possible sticking point is the “real name,” but this is one of the less egregious, in my opinion. Although whenever I read it, I always think of Tansut.

yeah, my only real observation here is the princess bride shout… RIP andre!!
i think it would have been more fun if his real name would have been Kurrant Jammh, but i can totally see he-geeks the world over ripping out their hair over the pun. oh well.
but herein lies my great dilemma… whiplash's property proves they can NOT fuck 'em up… so it makes the obviously awful ones that much worse when you have examples handy of decent bios.
i see though that Korn-Or rears his head again… another daddy issue story? this time it's "dad left me and isn't here to protect me from my big brother" but it's still implied. didn't the therapy rock scene die in music last decade? can we kill it in he-bios, STAT?
Damien
Yep. I love Whiplash too, but the bio is pretty straight-forward. Another bad guy with family issues – it's getting old, I will say that.
Also, Poe, there is one notable factoid floating around in that bio that wasn't mentioned; This bio makes Whiplash the fifth figure we've gotten (in terms of members of the Evil Henchmen) that knew Skeletor when he was Keldor.
I like Skeletor having a small stable of warriors that knew him before his transformation into Skeletor. It's good to have different levels of familiarity between different characters.
However, I really hope that Whiplash is absolutely the last character we get (for the Evil Henchmen) that knew Keldor. To me, it takes something away from it being Skeletor's early life if everyone he currently hangs out with knew him back then too.
I don't know. I can't really explain why it bothers me. I just don't want all of Skeletor's henchmen to have hooked up with him when he was Keldor.

Jeebus, what, does EVERYONE on Eternia have family issues? They need a new character, Counsel-Or.
I agree with Damien though about Keldor's Get-a-long gang. I think it takes away from Skeletor's mystique if his crew used to run with him back in the day when he used to have a flesh face.

plus, we know it affected his relationship w/ evil lyn (the transformation, i mean) but why is it the guy's were all unaffected? their station and relationship to skullface remains pretty much the same ('cept for kronis, who kind of brought it on himself)
Snarf! Snarf!
Second born son… check!
Daddy issues… check!
Relative dying before his time… check!
cloned… unchecked… unchecked!? Quick! somebody has to clone Whiplash!! ehhhh… three out of four ain't that bad…
Not much to complain about him… except the first sentence in the bio.

Eternia:
Everyone is pissed that they aren't in charge.
Thrawn
I'm fine with everything in that bio except the part about him being brothers with Ceratus. That was completely unnecessary.
The rest of it is darn near perfect. They kept the intelligence of the Filmation version, and played up that he's one of the strongest and most dangerous of Skeletor's warriors. So dangerous that He-Man usually has to deal with him personally.
I'm neutral on the real name. If I had to choose, I'd probably be more positive about this one than some of the others.
Overall a very pleasing bio.
